Bulgaria should become a gateway for American investments in Europe, Prime Minister Kiril Petkov stated after taking part in a breakfast meeting organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria. Kiril Petkov went on to thank “our American friends” for their support, especially in the sphere of energy. If Bulgaria, which is so dependent on Russian gas can diversify its sources at a price that is equal to or lower than that of Gazprom, anyone can," Kiril Petkov said.

“We started out 150 days ago with the promise of anti-corruption. What I didn't know was that anti-corruption also serves to restrict foreign influences in Bulgaria, and more specifically that of Russia,” the Bulgarian Prime Minister said.
