Bulgaria calls on EC for quantities of Covid vaccines according to the country's needs

The Ministry of Health has sent a letter to the European Commission requesting to receive quantities of Covid-19 vaccines tailored to the needs of the population. The ministry say countries should be able to buy the quantities they actually need, as sometimes the agreed quantities are much higher than what was necessary.

The letter also reads that the provision of health services for refugees from Ukraine requires additional financial resources, which could be provided by reducing the quantities of vaccines in the EC contract with Pfizer/BioNTech, in line with the actual needs of Member States.
