Bulgaria reports 239 new cases of Covid-19 out of 5,414 tests performed

239 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in the past 24 hours, out of 5,414 tests performed, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. 4.5% of the tests have returned positive result. 61% of the new cases are among the unvaccinated. 

The highest number of new cases of coronavirus infection was reported in Sofia-89, followed by Plovdiv-22 and Stara Zagora-16. 508 patients are being treated in hospital, as 46 of them are in intensive care units. 75% of the new hospitalizations are among the unvaccinated.

9 people with established coronavirus infection have died in the past day. 89% of them were not immunized. 2,328 people have been reported cured. There are 83,830 active cases of Covid-19. 651 vaccine doses were administered on Friday. 2,058,531 is the number of people with a completed immunization cycle.
