Prominent Bulgarians receive presidential awards for their contribution to culture and science

On the eve of May 24, President Rumen Radev presented state awards to six renowned Bulgarian scientists. These are academicians Ivan Popchev and Nikola Sabotinov, as well as professors Petko Salchev, Miliana Kaimakamova, Stoyan Karaivanov and Tsocho Boyadzhiev, who have received public recognition in various fields of science and education. The Bulgarian head of state said each of them was part of the spiritual and scientific power of Bulgaria.

At an official ceremony on the occasion of the holiday of the Bulgarian alphabet and culture, Minister of Culture Atanas Atanasov presented awards to 24 prominent artists.Theater director Prof. Zdravko Mitkov and composer Antoni Donchev, conductor of the Big Band of the Bulgarian National Radio, are also among the winners.
