Hundreds saw the relics of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius being taken out of St. Nedelya Cathedral to be returned to Mount Athos

Hundreds of believers and clergy gathered in front of the St. Nedelya Cathedral in Sofia to see the relics of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius being taken back to Athos.

The doors of the cathedral remained open throughout the night because thousands of Bulgarians wanted to to pay their respects to the holy relics, which arrived on May 23 - for the first time in Bulgaria.
