"We can be optimistic about the next decade if we take into account the lessons of the past 10 years," Bulgaria's Prime Minister Kiril Petkov said during "A Lost Decade?" discussion in the framework of the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

According to Petkov, not enough strategic steps have been taken in recent years to prevent Europe's growing dependence on Russian gas and to counter hybrid attacks. According to the Prime Minister, the optimal use of infrastructure in the region allows for energy diversification not only in Bulgaria but also in the Balkans.
