EBRD will support reforms in Bulgaria

Bulgaria's Finance Minister Assen Vassilev and the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Odile Renaud-Basso signed a memorandum of understanding. This was done in the presence of Prime Minister Kiril Petkov.

In the document, the EBRD states that it will assist the Bulgarian government in implementing structural reforms and implementing projects funded by EU funds in the programming period 2021-2027. 

The Treasury will also support projects in the energy sector included in the Bulgarian Recovery and Sustainability plan. The plan, funded by 6.3 billion euros from the EU, includes projects and reforms in healthcare, education, transport, energy and digitalization.
