Bulgaria is fully implementing measures to prevent corruption among MPs and prosecutors, according to a report by the Council of Europe Group of States against Corruption (GRECO).
The country has applied 67% of the recommendations regarding judges fully, and one-third – partially. Overall, Bulgaria has implemented 84% of the recommendations fully, and 16% - partially - a high percentages, with only Finland and Norway fully complying with the GRECO recommendations. The UK, Albania and Lithuania have a higher percentage than Bulgaria.
The report covers 23 countries. The average full compliance with the recommendations is 45%, partial – 37%, 18% have not acted at all.
