The fun and games for children, and the surprises, will go beyond 1 June, international children’s day, and will continue in Sofia today, 4 June.
The foundation Easyart is, once again, organizing a Children’s Fair in the public garden in front of the Ivan Vazov National Theatre, and the galleries and museums nearby. The programme kicks off at 10 AM and will continue into the evening with more than 40 cultural and educational initiatives, many arts and crafts workshops, music and drama shows, dancing and games.
Museum games will, once again, make veritable treasure-hunters out of the children. To mark the 140th birth anniversary of Vladimir Dimitrov-the Master (1 February, 1882), an installation will be put up called “Enter the picture”. Children will literally be able to enter the pictures by Vladimir Dimitrov-the Master.
For the children there will also be different workshops – for glass-painting, architecture, sand drawing, pottery and calligraphy (in the Glagolitic alphabet).
What may turn out to be the main attraction at the fair will be a real fire engine in front of the theatre building, which the kids will be able to climb into to get a sense of what it is like to be a fireman.
