Bulgarian Minister of Defense Dragomir Zakov is on an official visit to Greece at the invitation of his Greek counterpart Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos.
Today, the two ministers discuss co-operation between Bulgaria and Greece in the sphere of defense and prospects for further development, as well as bilateral relations in the framework of NATO-EU partnership.
Minister Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos tested positive for Covid-19 today, so Bulgaria’s Defence Minister met with the Deputy Minister of National Defence Nikolaos Hardalias.
“It is a true sign of friendship that Greece has undertaken to provide an anti-tank platoon as part of the Bulgarian battle group,” Minister Zakov said after the meeting, and added that it was something the Bulgarian army needed.
