The National Assembly Budget Committee did not approve the proposed amendments to the 2022 state budget. However, the draft amendments will be voted at first reading at a plenary session, the committee’s chairperson Lyubomir Karimanski from There is Such a People (ITN) party announced. ITN abstained during the voting at the Parliamentary Budget Committee.

Meanwhile, the MPs approved the amendments in the budgets of the State Social Insurance and the National Health Insurance Fund. “It remains to be seen whether the amendment of the state budget will be approved at a plenary session”, Minister of Finance Assen Vassilev said. In his words, if the MPs do not show common sense, there will be no pension increase, anti-crisis measures, tax relief for working parents, etc.
