A few days ago the annual BG Radio awards were announced. Traditionally the radio station presents the latest Bulgarian pop and rock songs. The names of the winners are determined by the listeners who give their vote for several categories.

This year''s big winner was Lyubo Kirov, who received the “BG Song” and “BG Lyrics” awards for the track Kiss Me, while his joint project with Stanley and Hristo Mutafchiev was awarded in the “BG Blend” category.

Another very popular Bulgarian singer - Miro, was chosen by the listeners as "BG Artist" and his album "Mirogled" (World outlook) took the award for "BG Album".

Maria Ilieva took the "BG Female Artist" award and "BG Debut" went to rising female star RIA.

The only prize determined by the BG Radio team is "BG Inspiration". It is awarded for outstanding contribution and exemplary dedication to Bulgarian music. This year the statuette was awarded to Mikhail Belchev.

His performance of the iconic song "Don't Grow Old, Love" had the audience on their feet and singing along until the very end of the ceremony. We will hear this golden Bulgarian hit, created about four decades ago. The music is by Haigashod Agasyan, the lyrics by Nedyalko Yordanov.
