We will not nominate a new speaker of the National Assembly. We will let the second political force and those who support them make a proposal, the Chairman of the parliamentary group of "We Continue the Change” party Andrey Gyurov said for the BNT.

The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), which is also part of the ruling coalition, will not nominate a candidate either, BSP MP Georgi Svilenski said.

The coalition GERB-SDS will not nominate a candidate, MP Radomir Cholakov said in an interview for bTV.

"The Parliament will not elect a new speaker until the situation calms down”, MP Iva Miteva from “There is Such a People” party, who served as National Assembly Speaker in the 45th and the 46th National Assembly, said for the BNR.

The June 22nd regular sitting of the National Assembly failed due to lack of quorum.
