The French proposal in the case of North Macedonia has thwarted the June 23rd parliamentary session. The dispute began during a council of the parliamentary speakers before the meeting.

The Vazrazhdane party accused Democratic Bulgaria of "treason" because the leader of their parliamentary group, Hristo Ivanov, had spoken with the French ambassador and discussed deadlines for accepting the French proposal. Hristo Ivanov confirmed the conversation and said that the proposal was a serious achievement for Bulgaria.
I like the French proposal. The parliament must decide on it, the resigned Prime Minister Kiril Petkov said in Brussels. He accused the Bulgarian parliament, the opposition and President Rumen Radev of delaying the decision.
