The National Assembly Foreign Affairs Committee discusses three draft resolutions on the opening of EU accerssion negotiations with the Republic of North Macedonia related to the so-called French Proposal. The three draft resolutions were submitted by the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF), GERB-SDS and "Democratic Bulgaria".
Meanwhile, North Macedonia’s Premier Dimitar Kovacevski announced that the French EU Council Presidency’s proposal was unacceptable for Skopje. In her words, Bulgaria has a strategic interest in North Macedonia's EU accession, but this should not be to the detriment of Bulgaria's national interest. So far it is clear that "There is Such a People" party and "Vazrazhdane" party will not support the drafts of the MRF, GERB and "Democratic Bulgaria".
