Foreign investments in Bulgaria since 2010 are over 51 billion euro

The Netherlands remains the largest foreign investor in Bulgaria with €7.7 billion or 15.1% of all inflows, according to the Bulgarian National Bank. Austria follows with €4.95 billion or 9.7%. Germany is third with €3.78 billion. 
With a total inflow of €2.98 billion is Italy, followed closely by Greece (€2.79 billion), Switzerland (€2.6 billion), Cyprus with (€2.47 billion), the UK (€2.23 billion) and Russia with €1.97 billion.
Investments in real estate amounted to over €11.3 billion, or 22% of all inflows. Manufacturing accounted for 19.5% or over €10 billion. Banking and insurance made up €9.15 billion or 18%. The trade and automotive sector attracted €7.2 billion, or 14%. Investments in professional activities and research amounted to EUR 4 billion.
From offshore areas came €5.78 billion, or over 11% of all foreign investment.
