Russia will respond to Bulgaria about the extradited Russian diplomats in exactly the same way, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
Last week, the Russian ambassador to Bulgaria Eleonora Mitrofanova said that she would urge Moscow to close the Russian Federation embassy in Sofia because of the expulsion of 70 Russian diplomats.
According to Lavrov, after ongoing PM Kiril Petkov declared 70 people from Russian diplomatic missions in Bulgaria as "persona non grata", the Russian embassy in Bulgaria is no longer able to function normally.

However, he did not give a definite answer to the question whether Russia will close its embassy in Sofia, BNR’s correspondent Angel Grigorov reported from Moscow. According to Russia'Foreign Minister, Sofia made the decision under pressure by Washington.
