Assen Vassilev returns the unfulfilled mandate to form a cabinet to President Radev

Assen Vassilev, the nominee for prime minister from "We Continue the Change", returned the mandate to form a cabinet to the president, justifying himself with insufficient support in the National Assembly. For his part, the head of state Rumen Radev said that next week he would announce when he would hand over the second mandate. He added that he expected the outgoing government to table in Parliament all legislative acts related to the Recovery and Resilience Plan so that Bulgaria's does not waste time and money.


Meanwhile, the second political force in Parliament, GERB confirmed that they will return the exploratory mandate. 
Democratic Bulgaria gets the third mandate, it will try to form a government and for this purpose it will also negotiate with the former coalition partner "There is such a people" (ITN),  MP Ivaylo Mirchev announced. 
The Bulgarian Socialist Party officials have also announced that they would try to form a cabinet.
