The leader of GERB Boyko Borissov told party supporters in Burgas that he would have helped "We Continue the Change" to form a new cabinet if the Parliament had voted the prospective government. "We would have supported a government. I would have found three MPs who would be loyal to me", added Borissov. However, Boyko Borissov made it clear that GERB would not fulfill the second exploratory cabinet-forming mandate within the current National Assembly.

He also criticised Kiril Petkov’s outgoing cabinet. "Their judicial reform was to find a post for outgoing Minister of Interior Boyko Rashkov (to head the anti-corruption commission). In the course of seven months, the outgoing government has sumbitted three bills and only one of them has been adopted by the ruling coalition. Police officers and vehicles with special traffic regime are involved in every problematic situation", the leader of GERB went on to say.
