Participants from 29 countries will arrive for the Summer Seminar in Bulgarian language in Veliko Tarnovo

89 participants from 29 countries from Europe, America, Asia and Africa are arriving in the town of Veliko Tarnovo the 45th International Summer Seminar on Bulgarian Language and Culture organized by the Veliko Tarnovo University. The oldest among them are pensioners Walter Elliott from England, 71 years old, and 70-year-old Guy Gilbert from France. The youngest participant is 18-year-old Dia Acharzhi from the USA, whose mother is Bulgarian.

The most numerous are the representatives of Germany – 10, Poland – 8, Greece – 6, and Serbia – 5.

The seminar will be held in the period from July 11 to 31. The lessons are in practical Bulgarian and will include grammar, phonetics and lexical exercises for beginners. 

Specialized seminars are planned for the more advanced. Two of them - "Culture and Art of Bulgaria" and "Culture of Bulgaria" will be in English. 

The others are in Bulgarian and are related to Bulgarian visual arts, the modern Bulgarian language, Bulgarian folklore and modern Bulgarian cinema, the organizers say.
