United States provides USD 6.8 million in additional humanitarian assistance to support Ukrainians in Bulgaria

The United States announced an additional USD 6.8 million in humanitarian assistance to support displaced Ukrainians in Bulgaria. The funding will be used to guarantee basic necessities, shelter, health care, and other essential assistance to those forced to flee their homes due to the Russian aggression, the US Embassy in Sofia said. 

"This money is part of  USD 368 million in additional humanitarian assistance to support those affected by Russia’s brutal war in Ukraine. Since February, the United States has provided over $1.28 billion in humanitarian assistance to address this crisis", the US Embassy Sofia further wrote.
