A representative group from the National Guards Unit of Bulgaria carrying the Bulgarian flag led the traditional Bastille Day foot march along Champs-Elysées Boulevard in Paris.

Bulgarian servicemen participated in the event, leading military units from other countries of Central and Eastern Europe, members of the Alliance and the EU - Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic.

The Bulgaria formation was divided into two marching groups. The first was a flag platoon at the front of the parade of multinational military units, the second - composed of servicemen in field military uniforms with traditional firearms, included in a mixed multinational unit.

Bulgaria's Chief of Defense Admiral Emil Eftimov also took part in the celebrations in Paris.
