Bulgarian lawyer Kristian Takov's photographic exhibition carries a message for today's viewer

Not many people know that in the last years of high school the famous Bulgarian lawyer Christian Takov took a course in photography. In his lifetime he took tens of thousands of photos.

Today, a young journalist and documentary filmmaker is making Takov's dream come true - an exhibition of his photography. Journalist Veselin Dimanov has been working on the major project about the lawyer's life for two years. Part of it is the exhibition of photographs, arranged on Lovers' Bridge near the National Palace of Culture, on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the famous Bulgarian lawyer's passing.

Christian Takov was a professor of civil law at Sofia University, an intellectual and a public figure. He is considered one of the few people in today's Bulgaria who fully fit the definition of a national awakener. He was also characterized by his keen sense of justice and vigour to fight against the status quo and injustice. That is why each of the 60 photographs in the exhibition is accompanied by a quote from what associate professor Christian Takov has said or written over the years. The title of the exhibition puts his worldview in a nutshell - "Morality is the Good". The exposition will also visit Plovdiv and Varna.
