Bulgaria reports 1,107 new Covid-19 cases, positivity rate at 21%

1,107 is the number of new Covid-19 cases out of 5,374 tests performed in the country in the past 24 hours, a positivity rate of almost 21%, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. 65% of the new infections are among the unvaccinated. The highest number of new cases has been registered in Sofia – 278, Varna – 140, and in Burgas–120

533 patients are being treated in hospital, 38 of them in intensive care. 73% of the 96 new hospital admissions are among the unvaccinated.

Two have died in the past day, neither were vaccinated. 633 are reported as recovered, 10,929 is the number of active cases in Bulgaria.

3,930 doses of vaccine against coronavirus have been administered in the past day. 2,062,954 is the number of people with a completed vaccination cycle in the country.
