Currently, Bulgaria’s health system is not under pressure due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the country’s Chief State Health Inspector Associate Professor Angel Kunchev said for the BNR.
On 19 July, directors of large Bulgarian hospitals will meet with Bulgaria's health authorities to discuss Covid-19 hospital bed availability. They want to avoid reaching the levels of bed occupancy during previous coronavirus waves, because the new Omicron variants cause less sever disease, Angel Kunchev said.
