All our decisions on the prices of electricity, water and heating were taken unanimously and are therefore legal, said the chairman of the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC) Stanislav Todorov following the verdict of the Constitutional Court that the election of Todorov to this position was unconstitutional.

Todorov said he was surprised by the court's decision and assured that the commission has taken measures to ensure that all acts during its presidency are legitimate and that consumers can trust them.

According to the chairman of the EWRC, the verdict of the Constitutional Court means that the regulator must cease to function. Todorov called on the MPs to organize as soon as possible the election of a new president so that the commission can work in a crisis situation, even in the absence of parliament.
