It will take two to three weeks to elect a new chair of the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission, Radoslav Ribarski, chairman of the parliamentary energy committee and MP of "We Continue the Change" says. This means that the regulator will not function during this time.

"We are ready to adopt the rules for the election of a new chairman of the commission as soon as the decision of the Constitutional Court is published", the MP told BNR. The rules need to be discussed in parliament before candidates can start submitting their applications for the position. Radoslav Ribarski added that names have not been discussed yet and that the current chairman Stanislav Todorov may not be nominated by "We Continue the Change".
