The leader of Vazrazhdane nationalist party and MP Kostadin Kostadinov called on the public to refuse to observe the mask-wearing mandate. Speaking in Varna, where mandatory mask-wearing was reintroduced in closed public areas and on public transport, Kostadinov said the mandate was unconstitutional.

Vazrazhdane is going to distribute instructions on how people who have had statements drawn up for failing to observe the anti-epidemic measures can appeal the fines in court as “illegal”, Kostadinov said and added his party could start protests if “the campaign against Bulgarians’ mental health continues”.
