Contrary to implications, there is no reason to expect an apocalypse in Bulgaria", former Premier Kiril Petkov said at a special ceremony at which he handed the power to the caretaker cabinet headed by Prime Minister Galab Donev. Kiril Petkov noted that despite the global crisis, his cabinet has built a strong foundation to secure peace and predictability in the coming months. The outgoing government leaves a budget surplus of BGN 1.5 billion. Kiril Petkov expressed hope that the fight against corruption and problems in the country's judiciary will continue.
