The emergency situation in the region of Haskovo over the wildfires in Harmanli and Lyubimets municipalities remains in place. The fires have not been localized yet because of the strong wind.

Maritsa motorway will be closed to prevent road accidents because the fire at the villages Dositeevo and Erusalimovo are endangering traffic, regional governor Minko Angelov said for the BNR. The fire at the villages Momkovo and Valche is under control, uninhabited houses have been destroyed. The damages inflicted are yet to be estimated. One of the fires near the railway line leading to Turkey is thought to have been caused by a defective train.

Efforts to extinguish the large fires at Elshitsa village near Panagyurishte and Pastrovo village in the region of Stara Zagora continue.
