Number of coronavirus-related deaths in Bulgaria stays high

There were 1,429 new Covid cases registered in the country in the past day, 207 down on the previous day. Over 2/3 of the newly infected are non-vaccinated citizens. 21.8% of 6,541 tests were positive. The same indicator stood at 21.5% on Wednesday, the portal coronavirus.bg shows.

Number of registered patients decreased by 2,282 to 22,707. There were 183 hospital admissions as 140 of the patients are non-vaccinated citizens. The number of hospitalized people increased by 20 to 1,084. There are 55 patients in intensive care.

Nine people with Covid died and all of them had not been immunized. The number of recoveries reached 3,702. On Wednesday, 2,898 vaccines were administered. There are 2,066,347 Bulgarians with completed immunization.
