After the EU and NATO, integration into the OECD is the main goal for Bulgaria

Bulgaria's caretaker government has adopted the decree on the organization and coordination of Bulgaria's negotiations for membership in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

Joining the OECD is the country's most serious integration effort after joining the EU and NATO. It affects almost all spheres of public life, Caretaker Foreign Minister Nikolay Milkov said at a briefing.

The motto of the OECD is "Better policies for better lives". This also applies to the implementation of the best practices on a global scale, the minister emphasized. That's why we want to participate not only in the "Club of the Rich", as the OECD is often dubbed, but in the club of sharing the best practices and world policies, said the diplomat.
