Bulgaria has requested an extension of the offer period for US liquified gas

Bulgaria has sent us a request to extend the offer period for the American tankers with liquefied gas, Anton Kutev, the spokesman of the office, told BTV. In its last days, Kiril Petkov's government managed to negotiate with an American company the delivery of seven cargo loads of liquefied natural gas for each month from October 1 to the end of April 2023 at a price at least 20 dollars lower than that of the European markets . 

"Neither the energy crisis nor the price crisis can be postponed, measures must be taken immediately", said Anton Kutev. He recalled that gas is provided until the end of September. 

"Until now, not a single molecule of gas has passed in the direction of Bulgaria via the Greek connection," added the spokesperson. 

The interconnector with Greece should be operational from October 1.
