41 liters per square meter of rain poured over Stara Zagora

After the severe thunderstorm that hit the area of Stara Zagora, southern Bulgaria, last night, residents and emergency crews have been trying all morning to clean up the damageя, Radio Stara Zagora reports. 

In just 2 hours, 41 litres per square metre of rain poured over the town, accompanied by strong winds and thunder. The low lying parts of the town, including the railway station, were flooded. There were no reports of injured or people in distress. Power has now been restored to all localities.
