Bulgaria reports 968 Covid-19 infections in past day, a positivity rate of 17%

968 is the number of new Covid-19 cases out of 5,600 tests performed in the country in the past 24 hours, a positivity rate of 17.2%, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. 897 patients are being treated in hospital, 49 of them in intensive care. 138 is the number of new hospital admissions in the past day.

Eight patients with confirmed coronavirus died in the past day, 1,613 are reported as recovered.

1,998 doses of vaccine have been administered in the past day. 2,068,437 is the number of people with a completed vaccination cycle in the country, 861,153 have taken a booster shot and 60,496 – a second booster shot.

As of today, face masks will not be mandatory on public transport. Mask-wearing remains mandatory inside medical establishments, pharmacies, opticians, as well as in care homes.
