Ten industry organizations of stockbreeders have sent a joint declaration to caretaker Minister of Agriculture Yavor Gechev, demanding that the financial aid allocated them over the war in Ukraine be paid out by the beginning of October.

The state aid for farmers under this measure amounts to EUR 213 million, and the Agriculture Fund is to pay it out by 21 October. However, the farmers say that the exceptional aid should be paid out by 2 October because they need the money to prepare for the new agricultural year and provide fodder for the livestock. In their declaration the stockbreeders also demand the resignation of the executive director of the Food Safety Agency.
