For the second year in a row, Bulgarian students won the gold medal in the International Young Naturalist's Tournament (IYNT) for students up to 17 years of age. It was held this year in the capital of Georgia Tbilisi. Thirteen teams from different countries participated in IYNT.

Both Bulgarian teams won medals - in addition to the gold medal for Team A, students from Team B won a bronze medal. Bulgaria is the only country to have won the Young Naturalists tournament in two consecutive years.

Bulgarian students came to the end of the competition as absolute winners, as they performed the best in each of the three roles in the final battle.
