Bulgacon, the annual convention of fantasy fans in Bulgaria, traditionally held in the first days of September, celebrates its twentieth anniversary. The event is hosted by the Fantastika Fiction Club of Kardzhali.
Bulgacon 2022 Perperikon will take place from September 3 to 6, and for the first time in its history will also feature a virtual broadcast through which several world-renowned fiction authors will attend the convention. Peter Watts (Canada), Paul Macauley (UK), Lavi Tidar (Israel), Krystyna Chodorovska and Agnieszka Halas (Poland), Julia Nowakova (Czech Republic) and others will discuss the fantasy genre, read excerpts from their works, answer questions and perhaps give answers to the ultimate question of where fantasy writers get their ideas.
The meetings will be held in English, and translation from and into Bulgarian will be provided.
