The organisation of the elections abroad is going according to plan, said Ivan Kondov, chairman of the "Elections" working group of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Almost all ballot papers and more than half of the voting machines were sent to polling stations abroad, including in the US, New Zealand and Australia. In the snap election on 2 October, machines will be used to vote in 301 locations abroad

The number of machines is unprecedented - 539, or 120 more than for the November 2021 election. The largest number of machines, 220, has gone to Turkey, as 120 polling stations there will have machine voting.
