Faster spreading sub-variant of Omicron has been confirmed in Bulgaria

The sub-variant of Omicron - BA.2.75 (sub-variant of the BA.2 line also dubbed Centaurus) has already been detected in Bulgaria. According to experts, this variant of the virus spreads faster.

It represents 2.4% of all 82 Omicron clinical samples from different regions of the country that were examined by the National Center for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases.
