The driver who caused the tragic car accident on Sofia's ring road early on Sunday morning, in which a French citizen was killed, was under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

This is what the driver's blood samples show. The alcohol was over 1.7 per millе, and the drug test gave a positive result for cocaine, announced the spokesperson of the chief prosecutor Siika Mileva.
The accident happened after a sports car driving at a very high speed hit a car moving in front of it. A French citizen travelling in the front car was killed in the impact, and the other two passengers in the car were injured.

A 62-year-old French woman is in hospital with a life-threatening condition.
