Significant rise in number of new Covid cases and six deaths

There were 1,127 new Covid cases registered in Bulgaria in the past day, which is 939 more than the day before. 61% of the newly infected are non-vaccinated people. 14.9% of 7,557 tests returned positive result, compared to 14.9% on Monday, according to the coronavirus.bg portal.

The total number of registered patients increased by 441 to 9,903. A total of 139 people were admitted to hospitals yesterday. 109 of them or 78.4% are not immunized. The number of hospitalized patients decreased by one to 483 as 28 are in intensive care.

Six people with Covid died during the past day. Five of them were not immunized. The number of recoveries reached 680. On Monday, 909 vaccines were administered in this country.
