On October 1, bird lovers gather in the South Park in Sofia to observe the native kingfisher. In Plovdiv, the invitation goes to the children who will visit the rowing base, where games and competitions are organized for them. The program in Veliko Tarnovo on October 1 includes a birdwatching excursion in Sveta Gora Park from 09:00 to 12:00. For most events, pre-registration is required on the European Birdwatch website.

For the fourth year in a row, the organization of people who want better treatment of animals raised in the industry - "SAY" - is preparing the charity initiative "Run for the Animals". The event is on October 2 - World Farm Animals Day, and will start at 10 a.m. in Sofia's Boris Garden. The only requirement to participate in the run is that people love animals and are willing to support a cause related to their protection.

Among the main demands of the non-profit organization "SAY" are the ban on farms for valuable furs at the national and European level, the ban on the forced fattening of ducks on farms, the end of cage farming of laying hens, as well as the ban on animal testing within of the EU. Through a series of similar initiatives, the organization hopes to draw public attention to the unnecessary suffering of animals.
