Weather forecast for Bulgaria for Saturday, October 1

October begins with rain and thunder

Clear skies are in the forecast for Friday night. There will be light southerly wind. 

In the morning hours of October 1, there will be diminished visibility in some valleys and near the water basins. Minimum temperatures will range between 12°C and 17°C, for Sofia- around 12°C. There will be scattered medium and high clouds, more significant in the afternoon hours. Brief showers are expected in Western and Central Bulgaria in the evening hours, with a chance of significant precipitation and thunderstorms in some areas. There will be light to moderate southerly wind. Daytime highs will reach 27°C-32°C, for Sofia- around 28°C.

Over the mountains, there will be medium and high clouds, more significant in the afternoon. There will be brief showers and thunderstorms in the western parts of the country in the evening hours and on Saturday night, with a chance of significant precipitation in some areas. There will be moderate to strong southwesterly wind. Maximum temperatures at an altitude of 1,200 meters will reach 18°C, at 2,000 meters- around 13°C.
