Azerbaijan expected to increase gas deliveries

There are several other gas fields in Azerbaijan where gas will soon be extracted, and they will contribute to our increasing the volume of deliveries, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said.

At the ceremony for the official launch of the Greece-Bulgaria gas interconnector at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia, President Aliyev declared that this year, his country would increase the export of natural gas to more than 22 million cubic metres, 11.2 million of which will go to consumers in Europe. President Aliyev stated further that his country is a reliable supplier of natural gas and is, at the same time, making efforts to become an exporter of electricity from renewable energy sources.
