"The great number of challenges, as well as overcoming the economic and energy crisis, dealing with migratory pressure, mitigating the risk of the Russian war in Ukraine, require joint efforts not only from the EU Member States, but also from all the countries of the Old Continent and the extended European space. This means dialogue, coordination and searching for common solutions". This is what Bulgarian President Rumen Radev told journalists in Prague.

The Bulgarian head of state is in the Czech Republic for discussions on the topic of "Energy and Economy" at the meeting of the European Political Community - a French initiative that has brought together the EU and 17 other countries, including Ukraine and Moldova, as well as the Western Balkans, in order to discuss security issues. The meeting received high assessment by the Bulgarian President.

Within the framework of the forum, President Radev met with his Turkish counterpart Recep Erdogan, with whom they discussed cooperation in the energy sphere and combating migrant pressure, BNR correspondent Mira Stefanova has reported.
