The new information system for connection between hospitals and emergency care is ready and will be operational next week, Health Minister Assen Medjidiev said.

Through this system, emergency teams will have real-time information on available hospital capacity for emergency treatment and will know where to refer patients.

According to the minister, this will significantly reduce the time from the patient's alert and pre-hospital first aid to hospitalization, and avoid ambulances going from hospital to hospital, as is currently the case.
