15% of Bulgarian pensioners continue to work

More than 15% of Bulgarians of retirement age are employed on the labor market, according to the statistics of the National Social Security Institute. For a year, the number of working pensioners increased by 47,000 and they are now over 340,000. The data also show that 104,000 people with disabilities receive a salary in addition to their pensions.

At the moment, the minimum pension for length of service and age is 238.77 euros a month; the social pension for old age is 126.29 euros, for disability with reduced working capacity from 71 to 90% - 164.12 euros.
