Former Prime Minister Kiril Petkov, whose party came second in the early parliamentary elections, declared in the National Assembly that "We Continue the Change" will resume its work from where it was stopped, but this time as a constructive and predictable opposition. He recalled the pre-election promises of his political party:

"We will insist that no tax be raised, that the budget deficit be limited to 3%, that a ceiling be introduced on electricity prices of BGN 250 per megawatt hour, as well as on the price of gas. We will support the VAT registration threshold to reach BGN 160,000. We will propose a 20% increase in pensions and also that the minimum wage should reach 50% of the average wage, or BGN 860. We will support a new definition of energy poverty and two electricity tariffs, gas, water and heating based on consumption".

Kiril Petkov addressed all those who call themselves "Euro-Atlantic" with the words: "There is no way to be of Euro-Atlantic beliefs if you do not respect the rule of law, do not believe in a working, reformed judicial system and do not stand for the elimination of corruption at all levels of government".
