MPs facilitate decision-making in plenary

The deputies have facilitated the decision-making procedure in the plenary by amending the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly. From now on, the number of votes needed to pass a bill will depend on the number of deputies registered at the last attendance count before the vote. The proposal was made by the Socialist Party.

It is therefore no longer necessary to gather a minimum of 121 votes out of 240 for the adoption of a bill. Decisions in committees will be taken with at least one third of the votes.

It is expected that the draft of the new rules will enter the plenary as early as tomorrow for final adoption.
